Description:
Acanthurus tangs are active, strong-swimming herbivores known for their bold patterns and assertive personalities. They require large, mature reef aquariums with strong water flow, oxygenation, and plenty of open swimming space. These tangs are best housed singly or with other tangs of different shapes and colors to avoid aggression. Acanthurus species are particularly prone to marine Ich and stress-related diseases, so pristine water quality and quarantine procedures are essential.
